We get the same questions a lot. Here are the answers.
Most women notice early changes — usually in comfort, dryness, or general balance — within the first 2–3 weeks. The full effect of a four-strain probiotic typically expresses around the 6–8 week mark, which is why we recommend a 60-day course as the default. Probiotics need time to colonise.
Yes. FloraGuard is designed to be taken daily, every day, without interruption. The microbiome shifts naturally across the cycle, and consistent daily intake provides the most stable support across those shifts.
No. We use a delayed-release vegetarian capsule with strains selected for room-temperature stability. Keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and away from heat. Refrigeration is fine but not required, and shelf life is guaranteed for 18 months from manufacture.
No. FloraGuard is a daily food supplement designed to support the healthy microbial balance of the vaginal flora as part of a long-term routine. It is not a treatment for an active infection. If you have an active medical condition, please consult your doctor.
Yes. FloraGuard's mechanism is microbial — it supports the populations that benefit your vaginal flora — and operates entirely independently of any hormonal therapy. Many women taking HRT also use a daily probiotic to complement the hormonal support; the two are complementary.
Most generic probiotics are gut-health products — Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium strains studied for digestive endpoints. FloraGuard uses four specific strains with the strongest published evidence for the vaginal microbiome specifically. Strain matters more than CFU count.
Yes. The capsule is plant-based HPMC and the cultures are grown on a dairy-free medium. Suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets.
FloraGuard is designed for ongoing daily use. Once you've established a stable flora over the first 60–90 days, daily continuation maintains it. There's no requirement to cycle off. Some women take it daily for years; others use it as ongoing support through perimenopause and post-menopause.
There are no known clinically significant interactions with most medications. If you're on immunosuppressive therapy or taking antibiotics, please discuss with your GP — antibiotics will reduce probiotic effectiveness, and we recommend taking FloraGuard at least 2 hours apart from any antibiotic dose.
60 days from delivery. If FloraGuard isn't working for you, email us — we'll refund you in full, bottle returned or not. No awkward conversation.
In a GMP-certified facility in the United States, in deliberately small batches. Each lot is third-party tested for strain identity, CFU count, and microbial purity before release. The Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Yes. The four strains in FloraGuard have decades of safety data and food-grade status in the United States. Lactobacillus species are part of normal human flora and ferment foods in many cuisines. Daily long-term use is appropriate and supported.
